In compliance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities policy 2.3 Metropolitan State University grants all students "the opportunity for representation on system committees, conferences and issue forums that are a part of the policy development and/or decision-making process."

The Student Senate manages, supports and appoints students to the universities numerous institutional committees. These positions are open to all Metro State students. They are a valuable opportunity to participate in university policy change, professional development and peer advocacy.
